We've been talking - ok, I have been talking - about getting a dog. I wanted to wait until after our trip to Disney, but I guess I could have gone forward before that. :/ Anyway.
I don't want a small yippy dog. I don't want a short-haired dog, because I do not like little short dog hair poking me from the furniture. I don't want a black dog because I think their faces are scary. (I know, I'm weird.) I want a female. So we've narrowed it down to the following breeds - Collie, Sheltie, Golden Retriever or Setter - and we're open to mixes, so I've been watching the local shelters carefully.
We don't really want a puppy. I would not be very patient when it comes to the potty training. So we're looking for a dog that is already house broken.
So with that long list of wants, it may take us some time to find the right dog. But meantime, maybe we can get the toys off the floors!

We're talking about getting another dog, too. Luke's preference would be a beagle - Ethan is not very comfortable with bigger dogs after what happened with Yellow. I'm not looking forward to having dog hair all over the floor again, but the boys will love having a puppy around. Hope you find exactly what you're looking for!
